Racer Nation is rising up nationwide! Coming off of a season-opening, buzzer-beating win against Illinois State University at home, one thing is clear. This Murray State University Men’s Basketball team is going to be fun to watch! If you cannot make it to the CFSB Center, the Murray State University Office of Alumni Relations can bring the blue and gold to you. We invite you to host a Watch Party in your community and bring local members of the Racer Nation together to view any of the nationally-televised games scheduled for this season. CBS College Sports will broadcast the home game against Tennessee State University at 11 a.m. (CST), Saturday, Dec. 31. Additionally, ESPNU is scheduled to broadcast two home games in February. The first will be against Belmont University at 8 p.m. (CST), Thursday, Feb. 2, and the second is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 16, at 6 p.m. (CST), against Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.

“We try to make hosting a Watch Party as simple as possible for our alumni,” said Carrie McGinnis, Murray State University Director of Alumni Relations. “It is our goal to energize, engage and excite our alumni where they are, not just when they have the opportunity to return to campus or via electronic avenues. Hosting your fellow Racers to cheer on this exciting team is just one way to bring friends together, both new and old. That common bond is where great relationships between proud Racers bloom and grow.”

To host a Watch party simply choose a location, for example a local bar or restaurant, and click here to register your party with the Office of Alumni Relations Or, contact the Sid Easley Alumni Center and our alumni relations staff will assist you in planning your event.
